a brief history about Eastern Shore Communications
2011-2012
Our Humble Beginnings
Disatisfied with the available internet choices Eastern Shore Communications was started to offer AFFORDABLE, truly highspeed broadband.
The first provider to utilize the fiber optic backbone built by the ESVBA using Tax Payer money and stimulus grants. The many Fixed Wireless Networks deployed by Eastern Shore Communications
throughout the towns in both Accomack and Northampton counties facilitated the creation of jobs and new employment within the counties.
November 2012
An ISP is Born
After the initial period of Fixed Wireless pilot programs Eastern Shore Communications was formed. Our mission to provide reliable, affordable broadband access throughout the Eastern Shore commenced.
March 2013
Transition to Full Service
Grand opening of our Eastern Shore Data Center. This highly secure, fully redundant, cooled network operation center, right here on The Shore. From our Data Center
we manage our network, covering three States and thousands of users each day.

Fiber Optic based internet services uses the speed of light through a glass cable (fiber) the size of a human hair to deliver the fastest, most reliable broadband internet service

DO NOT RESET the Access Point!! Are you unable to go online with a single device or is nothing working? If it is one device you are having issues with try
rebooting the device, check if it is connected to your wireless access point and reconnect if necessary. If you cannot get online with any deivce, unplug your wireless access point for 1 minute, power it back up then check again.
Q: My Internet is slow
Check if any of your devices are downloading any system updates, synchronizing the dropbox or synching your email. These activities consume a lot of bandwidth which
might make your connection seem slow. Also note that the total bandwidth available to you under your plan is shared between all devices in your household. For example if someone is watching Netflix it will reduce bandwidth and thus
speed available to everyone else
